→Trivia
- The film was shot in just 21 days, a very short schedule for a major Hindi film at the time.
- Director Ram Gopal Varma said the film was inspired by real-life kidnapping cases he read about in newspapers.
- Actor Fardeen Khan, who played the lead, was also filming 'Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega' simultaneously with a similar kidnapped-couple plot.
- The movie's climax was shot in a real, dense forest area to create a more authentic and tense atmosphere.
- Despite its thriller genre, the film's soundtrack by Sandeep Chowta became popular, especially the song 'Dil Laga Liya'.
- It was one of the early films in the career of actress Urmila Matondkar after her major success in 'Rangeela' and 'Satya'.
- The film performed poorly at the box office, which was seen as a setback in Ram Gopal Varma's career at that time.
