Trivia
- This was the only Hindi film directed by Balu Mahendra, who was a celebrated filmmaker in Tamil and Malayalam cinema.
- The film is a remake of Balu Mahendra's own 1993 Tamil film 'Marupadiyum', which also starred Revathi.
- Actress Revathi, who played Kamla, was also a successful director and choreographer in South Indian cinema.
- The movie was shot primarily in Madras (now Chennai), capturing the city's late 1990s atmosphere.
- It featured a soundtrack by composer Ilaiyaraaja, known for his prolific work in South Indian films.
- The film's title translates to 'And Another Love Story', hinting at its focus on marital love rather than romance.
- Despite its critical acclaim in the South, the film had a limited release and low box office earnings in Hindi-speaking regions.
