  • This was one of the few films where actor Mithun Chakraborty played a negative role as the villain Dhonga.
  • Director Sanjay Gupta was known for stylish thrillers, but this film was a commercial failure at the box office.
  • The movie features a cameo appearance by actor Paresh Rawal in a supporting role as Inspector Kavi.
  • Parts of the film were shot in Film City, Mumbai, using sets that gave it a staged, theatrical look common in mid-90s action movies.
  • The soundtrack, composed by Anand-Milind, included a song picturized on Akshay Kumar and his on-screen son to show their bond.
  • The plot shares similarities with Hollywood films like 'Cape Fear', involving a released convict seeking revenge on a family.
