Trivia

  • The film's title 'Thadaiyara Thaakka' is a Tamil phrase meaning 'removing obstacles', which directly reflects the protagonist's journey.
  • Director Magizh Thirumeni made his debut with this film after working as an assistant director to A.R. Murugadoss.
  • Actor Arun Vijay performed many of his own stunts, including a risky chase sequence on the Napier Bridge in Chennai.

  • Despite being an action thriller, the movie includes a subplot involving the travel agency business, a less common profession for a Tamil film hero at the time.
  • The climax was shot in a specially constructed set to depict a large, dilapidated building for the final confrontation.
