Trivia
- The film's title 'Thadaiyara Thaakka' is a Tamil phrase meaning 'removing obstacles', which directly reflects the protagonist's journey.
- Director Magizh Thirumeni made his debut with this film after working as an assistant director to A.R. Murugadoss.
- Actor Arun Vijay performed many of his own stunts, including a risky chase sequence on the Napier Bridge in Chennai.
- The character name 'Maha Gandhi' for the main antagonist was considered unusual, as it shares a name with the revered Indian leader.
- The film's soundtrack by S. Thaman was noted for its background score, which helped build tension in the thriller scenes.
- Despite being an action thriller, the movie includes a subplot involving the travel agency business, a less common profession for a Tamil film hero at the time.
- The climax was shot in a specially constructed set to depict a large, dilapidated building for the final confrontation.
