Pardesi(1993)
Pardesi is a 1993 Hindi action film directed by an unknown director. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty in a dual role as Shiva and Shanker. Varsha Usgaonkar, Shakti Kapoor, and Sumalatha appear in supporting roles. The story follows a villager wrongly sentenced to death for a murder committed by his lookalike. The film explores themes of mistaken identity, judicial error, and class oppression. Music was composed by Anand–Milind and Nikhil–Vinay with lyrics by Sameer and Yogesh. Storyline
A young villager named Shiva dreams of escaping the slavery imposed by a cruel Thakur. He is falsely accused of murder and sentenced to death by Judge Rajiv Verma. Before his hanging, he asks the judge to tell his family the news. The judge later discovers a criminal named Shanker who is Shiva's exact lookalike and the real killer.
