Trivia

  • The film's director, Sikander Bharti, was primarily known as a cinematographer and this was one of his few directorial ventures.
  • Actor Akshay Kumar, who played the lead, performed many of his own action stunts in the film, as was common in his early career.
  • The movie's soundtrack, composed by Anand-Milind, featured a popular song 'Tumse Milne Ko Dil Karta Hai' sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik.
  • Despite its patriotic army theme, the film was not a major box office success upon its release in 1993.
  • The role of the sister, Minni, was played by actress Sheeba, who was a frequent co-star of Akshay Kumar in the early 90s.
  • Parts of the film were shot in picturesque hill stations to depict the army border post and the family's home.
  • The plot device of families hiding tragic news from each other was a common melodramatic trope in Hindi cinema of that era.
