Qaid Mein Hai Bulbul(1992)

Qaid Mein Hai Bulbul is a 1992 Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Ravindra Peepat. The film stars Bhagyashree and Himalaya in lead roles, alongside a supporting cast including Reema Lagoo, Aruna Irani, Gulshan Grover, and Dalip Tahil. Set in a scenic Indian village, the story follows childhood sweethearts Pooja and Suraj who face fierce opposition to their marriage from their feuding mothers. When the mothers refuse to relent, the couple elopes, only to be captured by a cruel prince who desires Pooja for himself. The film was notable for being Bhagyashree's second release after her blockbuster debut Maine Pyar Kiya and for introducing her real-life husband Himalaya as a leading man. It received overwhelmingly negative reviews and performed poorly at the box office, effectively ending Himalaya's acting career. The film was released in India on March 27, 1992.
