Trivia

  • The film's title C.I.D. was a common brand name for action movies in the 1990s, but this one is not a remake of the famous 1956 film of the same name.
  • Actor Raza Murad, who played the villain Roshan Lala, was often typecast as a sophisticated antagonist in many films of this era.
  • The movie featured action director Veeru Devgan, father of actor Ajay Devgn, who was known for his realistic stunt sequences.
  • It was one of several mid-budget action dramas released around 1990 that capitalized on the popular 'police vs. smuggler' storyline.
  • The soundtrack, composed by Bappi Lahiri, included the song 'Tumse Milne Ko Dil Karta Hai', which became a notable hit.
  • Lead actor Sanjay Dutt was already a major star, but this film came during a period where he balanced action roles with more dramatic work.
  • The film's climax, a common trope, likely involved a dramatic confrontation in a warehouse or dockyard setting typical of the genre.
