Nadiya Ke Paar(1990)
Nadiya Ke Paar is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Govind Moonis. The lead roles are played by Sachin Pilgaonkar as Chandan and Sadhana Singh as Gunja. The story is set in two villages separated by a river and follows the romance between a playful boatman and a village girl. Their love is tested when family duty forces Gunja to marry her brother-in-law after her sister's death. The film was produced by Rajshri Productions and is known for its authentic depiction of rural Indian life. It received critical acclaim for its natural performances, folk-inspired music, and heartwarming narrative. The movie was a commercial success and later inspired the blockbuster 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun' (1994). It was released in India on June 18, 1982.

Storyline
Chandan is a cheerful boatman who falls in love with Gunja, a girl from a village across the river. Their love grows through playful meetings on the water. But when Gunja's sister dies, she is forced to marry her brother-in-law Kishan, who is also Chandan's brother. Gunja must choose between her love for Chandan and her duty to her family.
