- It was directed by K. Bapaiah, known for his work in Telugu cinema, and marked one of his few Hindi directorial ventures.

- The movie features veteran actor Pran as the antagonist Sheshnaag, adding star power to the supporting cast.
- Despite its action-packed plot, the film underperformed at the box office compared to other Mithun Chakraborty releases of the era.

- Some filming reportedly took place in Mumbai's studio sets, typical for action dramas of that period to control costs.
