Storyline

A communist activist named Balusamy is sentenced to death for his radical actions. An honest police officer named Macaulay is assigned to guard him until execution. A reluctant hangman named Yamalingam is forced to carry out the hanging. Balusamy's comrade Kuyili plans a daring rescue. The film asks whether the system can ever be fair.
