Salim is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by N. V. Nirmal Kumar. The film stars Vijay Antony as Dr. Mohammed Salim and Aksha Pardasany as Nisha in her Tamil debut. The story follows a kind-hearted doctor who treats poor patients for free, leading to conflict with his hospital and a corrupt political system. When he discovers that four men he took hostage are responsible for a gang rape and murder, he refuses to back down. The film serves as a direct sequel to Vijay Antony's debut film Naan (2012) and continues the story of the same protagonist under a new identity. Salim was released on 29 August 2014 across approximately 400 screens in India and received generally positive reviews from critics for its pacing and Vijay Antony's performance.

Storyline
Dr. Mohammed Salim is a kind doctor who treats poor patients for free. His generosity costs him his job and his relationship with his fiancée Nisha. When he catches four men trying to rape a woman, he takes them hostage. One of them is the son of a powerful minister. The police surround the hotel, and Salim must fight a corrupt system to deliver justice.
