Mary Kom is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film directed by Omung Kumar. It stars Priyanka Chopra as the eponymous boxer, with Darshan Kumar and Sunil Thapa in supporting roles. The film chronicles Mary Kom's life from her childhood in Manipur to her gold medal victory at the 2008 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships in Ningbo, China. It highlights her struggles against poverty, family opposition, and systemic bias in sports. The film was produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, becoming the first Hindi film to screen on its opening night. Mary Kom won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and recorded the highest opening weekend for a female-led Indian film at the time. The film was released on 5 September 2014.

Storyline
A young girl from a poor village in Manipur finds a boxing glove in a plane crash and dreams of becoming a champion. She faces opposition from her father, struggles with poverty, and later balances her career with motherhood. After a ban and a personal crisis, she fights her way back to win the 2008 World Boxing Championship.
