Appuchi Gramam is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language science fiction drama film directed by Vi Anand. The film stars newcomers Pravin Adithya and Anusha Naik in lead roles, alongside Suja Varunee, Swasika, and Nassar. The story follows a small Tamil village that learns a meteor is about to destroy them. As panic spreads, a long-standing family feud between two stepbrothers comes to a head. Their children, Dheeran and Sangamithra, struggle to keep their love alive amid the chaos. The film is notable for blending science fiction with a realistic village drama, inspired by the storytelling style of Malgudi Days. Storyline
When ISRO scientists discover a meteor heading straight for their village, the people of Appuchi Gramam panic. Dheeran, a kind young man, wants to end a bitter family feud so he can marry his love Sangamithra. But his stubborn stepbrother and Sangamithra's angry father stand in the way. As the meteor approaches, everyone must decide what really matters.
