Anbe Sivam is a 2003 Tamil slice-of-life drama film directed by Sundar C and written by Kamal Haasan. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Madhavan, and Kiran Rathod in lead roles. It follows two men of contrasting personalities — a scarred communist activist and a capitalist ad director — who are forced to travel together from Bhubaneswar to Chennai. The film explores themes of communism, atheism, altruism, and humanism. It was produced on a budget of ₹12 crore and released on 15 January 2003 during the Pongal festival. Despite positive reviews, it underperformed at the box office. Over time, it gained cult status and is now considered a classic of Tamil cinema. Storyline
