Margarita With A Straw(2015)
Margarita With A Straw is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Shonali Bose. The film stars Kalki Koechlin as Laila Kapoor, a teenager with cerebral palsy, alongside Sayani Gupta, Revathi, and William Moseley. The story follows Laila from Delhi to New York University, where she falls in love with a blind activist named Khanum while also exploring her attraction to a male classmate. The film deals with themes of disability, bisexuality, and self-acceptance. It received positive reviews for Koechlin's performance and Bose's sensitive direction. Koechlin won the National Film Award – Special Jury Award for her role. The film premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and was released theatrically in India on 17 April 2015. Storyline
