Storyline
Bajirao, the powerful Peshwa of the Maratha Empire, falls in love with Mastani, a Muslim warrior princess. His first wife Kashibai watches her marriage crumble. His mother and the court reject Mastani. Bajirao must choose between his duty to his family and his all-consuming love for Mastani.
