Trivia
- The film's title was originally 'Kapoor & Sons: Since 1921' to reflect the family's long history.
- The grandfather's prosthetic makeup took over 10 hours to apply and was done by Hollywood artist Greg Cannom.
- The house shown in the film is a real family home in Coonoor, not a set, which added to the authentic feel.
- A special screening was held for the real Kapoor family, including Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, before release.
- The film subtly includes a scene where a character reads a book titled 'The Price of Salt', a nod to LGBTQ+ literature.
- It was one of the first mainstream Hindi films to show a gay character without stereotypes or tragic endings.
- The movie was shot in sequence to help the actors naturally develop their family dynamics on screen.
