Appavi Full Story Explained (2011)

The film 'Appavi' begins by introducing Goutham, a kind and innocent man living in a small Tamil Nadu town. Everyone calls him 'Appavi', which means innocent, because of his trusting nature. He lives happily with his wife Suhani and their children. Goutham works hard every day to provide for his family. He believes in honesty and helping others. He does not know that the world is full of cruel people who will use his kindness against him.

A group of powerful and corrupt men, led by a wealthy businessman, notice Goutham's innocence. They trick him into signing documents that steal his land and savings. When Goutham realizes he has been cheated, he goes to the police for help. But the police are on the payroll of these corrupt men. Instead of helping Goutham, they arrest him on fake charges.
