Annakili Sonna Kathai(1989)
Annakili Sonna Kathai is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by S. Devaraj. It stars Sathyaraj and Sudha Rani in lead roles. The film is a remake of the Kannada film Manamecchida Hudugi (1987), which itself was adapted from Kum. Veerabhadrappa's novel Bete. The story follows Gowri, a landlord's daughter, who falls in love with Maruthu, a servant working on her family's land. Her father opposes the relationship due to class differences. The film explores themes of forbidden love and social divide. It features a soundtrack composed by Chandrabose with lyrics by Mu. Metha. The film was released on 1 September 1989.

Storyline
Gowri is the daughter of a wealthy landlord. She falls in love with Maruthu, a poor servant who works for her family. Her father discovers their relationship and forbids them from meeting. Gowri must choose between her family's expectations and her love for Maruthu.
