'Padikkatha Padam' (1986) is a Tamil-language action drama film directed by Rajasekhar. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, and Ambika in lead roles. The story follows an uneducated taxi driver who sacrifices everything to educate his younger brother after they are thrown out of their home. The film is a remake of the Hindi movie 'Khud-Daar' (1982) and features a soundtrack composed by Ilaiyaraaja. It became a major box office success, running for over 250 days in theatres and reestablishing Rajinikanth's popularity.

Storyline
