Anal Kaatru(1983)
Anal Kaatru (transl. Hot Air) is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Komal Swaminathan. It stars Rajesh and Vanitha Krishnachandran in lead roles. The story follows Raju, a proud village man whose small lie about a promotion spirals into debt, public shame, and family breakdown. Adapted from Swaminathan's play Swarga Bhoomi, the film critiques the social pressure to maintain appearances. It received praise for its honest storytelling and strong performances. The music was composed by Shankar–Ganesh. The film was released on 25 March 1983.

Storyline
