Trivia
- The film's title 'Darling, Darling, Darling' was inspired by a popular 1970s English pop song of the same name by the group The Pipkins.
- Director-actor K. Bhagyaraj wrote the script drawing from his own early experiences and observations of class differences in society.
- This was one of the earliest Tamil films to prominently feature the hill station Ooty as a central romantic backdrop, influencing later movies.
- Actress Poornima Jayaram, who played Radha, was primarily a Bharatanatyam dancer before entering films with this role.
- The comedy track involving supporting characters was improvised heavily by the actors during the shoot, a common practice in Bhagyaraj's films.
- Despite its simple story, the film was a commercial success, running for over 100 days in many theaters across Tamil Nadu.
- The musical score by Ilaiyaraaja includes a folk-inspired song 'Kannae Pesum Penne', which became a hit and is still remembered.
