Thooku Medai(1982)
Thooku Medai is a 1982 Indian Tamil-language political drama film directed by Amirtham. It stars Chandrasekhar and Menaka in lead roles. The film is an adaptation of M. Karunanidhi's stage play of the same name. The story follows a poor farmer who is falsely accused of stealing land and sentenced to death by a corrupt judge. The film explores themes of judicial corruption, class inequality, and the power of truth. It was released on 28 May 1982. The music was composed by Shankar–Ganesh. The film received positive reviews for Chandrasekhar's performance but failed at the box office.

Storyline
A poor farmer fights to keep his small piece of land from a greedy landlord. The landlord uses fake documents and a bribed judge to have the farmer sentenced to death. The farmer's wife struggles to save him as the gallows are prepared.
