Vanjam(1982)
Vanjam (transl. Revenge) is a 1953 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Y. R. Swamy. The film stars Kantha Rao, Gummadi, Savithri, and Girija in lead roles. The story follows a young man falsely accused of stealing temple money who escapes prison to clear his name. Produced by M. M. Reddy, the film was also made in Telugu as Pratigna. The music was composed by T. A. Kalyanam with lyrics by Guhan. The cinematography was handled by D. L. Narayan and V. K. B. Maniam. The film released on 4 December 1953.

Storyline
A poor village worker named Raju is framed for a theft he did not commit. He loses his freedom, his mother, and his fiancée. After escaping from prison, he must find the real criminal and prove his innocence before it is too late.
