Storyline

Raj and Mita Batra want their daughter Pia to study in the best English-medium school in Delhi. But the school only accepts children from wealthy, English-speaking families. Raj, a simple Hindi-speaking shopkeeper, must lie and pretend to be rich to get Pia admitted. His lies threaten to destroy his family and his own self-respect.
