Nenjil Oru Mul(1981)
Nenjil Oru Mull is a 1981 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Mathi Oli Shanmugam. It stars Poornima Jayaraman and Pratap Pothen in lead roles. The film is a remake of the Hindi film Kati Patang (1971), which was based on Cornell Woolrich's 1948 novel I Married a Dead Man. The story follows a pregnant woman abandoned by her lover who assumes the identity of a deceased stranger after a train accident. The film explores themes of identity, guilt, and redemption. It was predominantly shot in Coimbatore. The soundtrack was composed by G. K. Venkatesh. Despite a strong narrative, the film failed commercially upon its release on 11 December 1981.

Storyline
A pregnant woman named Madhavi is abandoned by her lover and thrown out by her father. After a train accident, she is mistaken for a dead woman named Radha. She decides to live as Radha to survive. But her past threatens to destroy her new life and her chance at love.
