Mazhalai Pattalam(1980)
Mazhalai Pattalam is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language children's comedy family film directed by Lakshmi in her directorial debut. The film stars Vishnuvardhan as Shivaraman and Sumithra as Uma. It follows a widower with six children who falls in love with a woman raising her five orphaned nieces and nephews. Their marriage plans are blocked by the children's constant fighting until a common enemy forces them to unite. The film is based on the 1968 American film Yours, Mine and Ours. It was simultaneously filmed in Kannada as Makkala Sainya. The soundtrack was composed by M. S. Viswanathan with lyrics by Kannadasan. The film received positive reviews for its direction and became a box office success after a slow start. It was released on 9 May 1980.

Storyline
A widower with six children falls in love with a woman raising her five orphaned nieces and nephews. Their eleven children hate each other and fight constantly, making marriage impossible. When a greedy landlord threatens to evict both families, the children must unite as an army to save their homes and bring their parents together.
