Soolam(1980)
Soolam (transl. Trident) is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed, written, and produced by M. Bhaskar. The film stars Rajkumar Sethupathi and Radhika Sarathkumar in lead roles, with Sudheer, Pushpalatha, Thengai Srinivasan, and Manorama in supporting parts. The story follows a widowed mother who fights against a wealthy man trying to destroy her reputation and take her home. Set in a small Tamil town, the film explores themes of female resilience and social hypocrisy. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, featuring lyrics by Kannadasan, Pulamaipithan, and Vairamuthu. Soolam was Bhaskar's debut production under his Oscar Movies banner. The film was released on 12 December 1980.

Storyline
