Tamil minstheatrical

Kanni Paruvathile is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by B. V. Balaguru. The lead cast includes Rajesh, K. Bhagyaraj, and Vadivukkarasi. The story follows Subbiah, a village man who becomes impotent after a jallikattu bull injury, and his wife Kannamma, who must hide his condition from society. Their secret is exploited by a manipulative friend, Cheenu, played by Bhagyaraj. The film was Bhagyaraj's first screenplay and marked Rajesh's debut as a lead actor. It received mixed reviews, with critics noting it did not match the success of producer Rajkannu's earlier films like 16 Vayathinile. The soundtrack by Shankar–Ganesh includes the popular song 'Pattuvana' set to raga Shivaranjani. The film was released on 21 September 1979.
