Bhadrakali(1976)
Bhadrakali is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language psychological drama film directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar. The film stars Sivakumar and Rani Chandra in lead roles, with Major Sundarrajan, Thengai Srinivasan, and Manorama in supporting parts. The story follows Gayathri, a gentle Brahmin housewife who develops severe mental illness after witnessing a murder, leading to tragedy and divorce. The film is an adaptation of Maharishi's 1976 novel of the same name and features a soundtrack composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Bhadrakali received unanimous critical acclaim upon its December 1976 release and became a commercial success at the box office. The film was later remade in Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi by the same director.

Storyline
