Thiruvarul(1975)
Thiruvarul is a 1975 Indian Tamil-language devotional film directed by R. Thyagarajan. It stars A. V. M. Rajan, Jaya, Nagesh, Major Sundarrajan, and Thengai Srinivasan. The story follows Kumara Devan, an ardent devotee of Lord Muruga, who loses jobs due to his obsessive devotion. After a failed suicide attempt, he becomes a famous singer and builds a temple. His marriage faces trouble when his mother-in-law steals from him. The film features music by Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan and lyrics by Kannadasan, with a cameo by spiritual speaker Kirupananda Variyar. It was released on 26 December 1975 and received positive reviews for its performances and music.

Storyline
