Ulagum Ivvalavudhan(1969)
Ulagam Sutrum Valiban is a 1973 Indian Tamil-language science fiction film directed and co-produced by M. G. Ramachandran. The film stars Ramachandran in a dual role as scientist Murugan and his brother Raju, alongside Chandrakala, Manjula, and Latha. The story follows Murugan, who invents a method to store lightning energy in a pill and must protect his discovery from a greedy businessman named Bairavan. The film features an international setting with locations including Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan. It was a major box office success, running for over 250 days in theatres. Ramachandran won the Filmfare Special Award for Excellent Production Values for this film. The soundtrack was composed by M. S. Viswanathan and includes popular songs like 'Aval Oru Navarasa' and 'Nilavu Oru'. The film was released on 11 May 1973.
