Pen Manam(1963)
Pen Manam (transl. Female Mentality) is a 1952 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed and produced by S. Soundararajan. The film stars T. K. Shanmugam as Paramasivam and M. V. Rajamma as Meenakshi. Set in Thanjavur and Colombo, the story follows a poor farmer who abandons his family and the mother who fights to survive. The film was shot at Shyamala Studios and features music by Kunnakudi Venkatarama Iyer. It was released on 5 December 1952 and is remembered for its raw emotional tone and strong performances.

Storyline
A poor farmer named Paramasivam leaves his wife and three children in Thanjavur to seek work in Colombo. His wife Meenakshi faces harassment and tragedy alone. A sadhu saves her and her children from suicide. Paramasivam returns with money and searches for his lost family.
