Naan Kanda Sorgam(1960)
'Naan Kanda Sorgam' (transl. My Heaven) is a 1960 Indian Tamil-language fantasy comedy film directed and produced by C. Pullayya. The film stars K. A. Thangavelu and Sowcar Janaki in lead roles. It follows the story of a miserly millionaire's daughter who falls in love with a generous theatre artist, leading to divine intervention from Hindu gods. The film is a remake of the 1958 Bengali film 'Jamalaye Jibanta Manush' and was simultaneously filmed in Telugu as 'Devanthakudu'. It was praised for its hilarious comedy and unusual storyline. The film released on 12 August 1960 and became a commercial success.

Storyline
A kind theatre artist named Sundar falls in love with Meenakshi, the daughter of a miserly millionaire. Her father hates charity and forbids their love. Sundar disguises himself as a woman to enter her house. When the miser beats Sundar nearly to death, the gods Yama and Vishnu step in to save the lovers.
