Thozhan(1960)
Thozhan is a 1960 Tamil-language drama film directed by M. A. Thirumugam. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan as Muthu and S. S. Rajendran as Raja, with supporting roles by M. N. Rajam, S. A. Ashokan, and K. A. Thangavelu. The story follows two friends from opposite sides of the class divide. Muthu, a poor farmer, sacrifices his friendship with Raja, a wealthy landlord's son, to protect Raja's future. The film was produced by Sandow M. M. A. Chinnappa Thevar under the banner of Devar Films. It was praised for its strong performances and social commentary on caste and class inequality. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan, with lyrics by A. Maruthakasi. Thozhan was a commercial success at the box office and is remembered as a classic of Tamil cinema.

Storyline
