Chandni is a 1989 Indian Hindi-language musical romance film directed and co-produced by Yash Chopra. The film stars Sridevi as Chandni Mathur, with Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna in lead roles. Waheeda Rehman, Anupam Kher, and Juhi Chawla appear in supporting parts. The story follows a young woman torn between two suitors after a tragic accident changes her life. The film is set in Delhi and Mumbai and features songs composed by Shiv-Hari. Chandni won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. It was the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 1989 and its soundtrack sold over 10 million copies. The film is credited with ending the era of violent action films in Bollywood and reviving the romantic musical genre. Sridevi's iconic white outfits became a major fashion trend across India. The film was released on 15 September 1989 by Yash Raj Films.

Storyline
A young woman named Chandni falls in love with a wealthy man named Rohit. After a tragic accident leaves him paralyzed, his family blames her and he pushes her away. She moves to a new city and finds love again with a kind widower. But when her first love returns, she must choose between two good men.
