Zevar is a 1987 Hindi-language drama film directed by Basu Chatterjee. The film stars Anupam Kher as Narendra Chowdhury, a newspaper owner facing financial ruin. The cast also includes Sushmita Mukherjee, Alok Nath, and Ravi Baswani in supporting roles. The story follows Narendra's struggle to save his business while his wealthy wife Bindu refuses to help him. The film explores themes of marital selfishness, financial crisis, and the value of true friendship. Unlike most Bollywood films of the era, Zevar contains no songs. It is based on a story by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. The film was produced by Cineye Films and shot at Natraj Studios in Mumbai.

Storyline
