- Actor Raj Kiran, who played the lead role of Vicky, was primarily known for supporting roles and this film was a rare leading man opportunity for him.
- The movie features music by Kalyanji-Anandji, but its soundtrack did not achieve the same massive popularity as many of the composers' other 1980s works.
- Actress Kim, who played Annie, was a former Miss India (1979) and this film was among her early acting projects in Bollywood.
- The plot's conflict between a family-approved match and a love interest from a different social class was a common theme in early 1980s Hindi cinema.
- A key filming location was the famous RK Studio in Mumbai, which was founded by the legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor.
- Despite its star cast including Amrish Puri and Shashi Kapoor in supporting roles, the film is not widely remembered or available on modern streaming platforms.
