Pyaasa Sawan(1981)
Pyaasa Sawan is a 1981 Hindi-language drama film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. It stars Jeetendra in a double role, alongside Moushumi Chatterji and Reena Roy. The story follows Chandrakant, a poor man mistaken for a wealthy heir, who marries Shanti against her father's wishes. After being publicly insulted, he becomes obsessed with building wealth, neglecting his wife in the process. She dies from a terminal illness, leaving him with guilt. Years later, his son Ravikant repeats the same mistake with his wife Manorama. The film is a remake of the Telugu film Yedanthasthula Meda (1980). Its music was composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. The film explores themes of marital neglect, regret, and redemption. It was released in India in 1981.

Storyline
