Storyline
Kamli is a poor young woman who sells tooth-cleaning twigs on trains. She meets a bachelor named Pratap who offers to educate her and refine her manners. Kamli believes he cares for her, but he has actually made a bet with his friend that he can transform her from her crude and loud behavior into a proper lady.
