Irada is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language thriller film directed by Aparnaa Singh. The film stars Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, Divya Dutta, Sharad Kelkar, and Sagarika Ghatge. The story is set in Bathinda, Punjab, where industrial pollution has poisoned the groundwater. An NIA officer investigates a bomb blast at a factory owned by a powerful businessman. He uncovers a conspiracy to hide the pollution and its deadly effects on the local population. The film is inspired by the real-life cancer crisis in the Malwa region. It won the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation at the 65th National Film Awards. The film was released in theaters on 17 February 2017.

Storyline
