Trivia
- The film's title character Ashley is named after the Hollywood actress Ashley Judd, whom the director admired.
- It was shot in just 25 days across locations in Mumbai and Delhi to keep the budget low.
- Lead actor Gaurav Paswala was a complete newcomer and had no prior acting training before this film.

- A subplot involving a stolen necklace was inspired by real-life petty crime cases reported in Mumbai.
- The director also worked as the film's editor, which is uncommon for mainstream Hindi movies.
- Despite being a thriller, the soundtrack included three romantic songs, which was a deliberate commercial choice.
