Kumki 2(2018)
Kumki 2 is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language adventure children's drama film written and directed by Prabhu Solomon. It is produced by Pen Studios and serves as a spiritual successor to the director's 2012 film Kumki. The film stars Mathi in his debut as lead actor, alongside Arjun Das and Shrita Rao. The story follows Bhoomi, a rural boy who rescues a baby elephant and forms a deep bond with it. Years later, he embarks on a dangerous journey into the forest to reunite with his lost friend. The film has no romantic subplot and focuses entirely on the human-animal relationship. It was shot in Thailand and at Shivanasamudra Falls in Karnataka. Kumki 2 received mixed reviews from critics, who praised its intent but criticized its execution. The film was released in theatres on 15 November 2025 after a seven-year delay.

Storyline

Five years later, Bhoomi hears about a wild elephant in the forest. He sets out on a dangerous journey to find his old companion. Will their bond survive the years and the obstacles in the forest?
