It stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Ashutosh Rana, Suha Gezen, Anirudh Dave, and Hiten Tejwani. The story is set in the fictional town of Maliabad in Uttar Pradesh and is inspired by the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots. It follows a love story between a Hindu boy and a Muslim girl that sparks communal violence. Politicians exploit the incident for electoral gain, leading to widespread bloodshed. The film received a U/A certificate from the CBFC but faced censorship cuts and controversy. It was banned in Muzaffarnagar and a fatwa was issued against its lead actor. The film was released on 1 July 2016 and received mixed to negative reviews.

Storyline
