Niranjana is forced to release him after a local thug threatens her medical camp. Thookudurai fights the thugs and moves her camp to his rice mill. Niranjana realizes she loves him too and proposes. They get married and have a daughter named Swetha.

Niranjana is disturbed by Thookudurai's violent ways. She gets pregnant and is accepted into a top pharmaceutical program, but she refuses it for him.
