Mr Chandramouli Full Story Explained (2018)

Raghav is a professional boxer who lives with his father Chandramouli. He needs sponsorship for a major fight. He first approaches Azhagar, the CEO of a successful taxi company. Azhagar rejects him. Then Raghav goes to Vinayak Kanakasabai, the CEO of a rival company called GoCabs. Vinayak agrees to sponsor him. Raghav wins the fight and gives the prize car to his father. Chandramouli is deeply moved. He asks Raghav to take him for a midnight drive. During the drive, a truck crashes into their car. Chandramouli dies. Raghav survives but his nervous system is damaged. His vision is severely restricted.

Days later, a police officer visits Raghav at home. He shows Raghav a death certificate for a woman named Bairavi. The certificate has Chandramouli's signature. Raghav is shocked. He had no idea his father knew this woman. With the help of his girlfriend Madhu and his friend Padmani, Raghav starts investigating. He meets his father's close friend Ramamurthy. Ramamurthy reveals the truth. Bairavi was a single woman with no family. She wanted to buy Chandramouli's car because it reminded her of her deceased father. She also helped Raghav get sponsorship from Azhagar because she worked as Azhagar's financial manager. Then Bairavi was killed by a GoCabs driver. But Chandramouli believed someone else was behind her murder. He asked Ramamurthy to take him to a senior police officer. The officer warned him not to get involved because important people were behind it.

Raghav finds the GoCabs driver who killed Bairavi. The driver says it was an accident. But Raghav overhears him talking to Pugazhendhi, Azhagar's assistant. Raghav chases the driver. He finds him hanging dead in an abandoned factory. Someone is silencing everyone. Raghav then finds Bairavi's phone in Chandramouli's car. It contains evidence of her murder. Raghav decides to set a trap. He sends Madhu and her colleagues in GoCabs taxis. Everyone reaches safely except Madhu. She calls Raghav in panic. The driver has stopped in a remote area. Raghav arrives in time and catches the driver. The driver confesses that Pugazhendhi ordered the attack.

Raghav chases Pugazhendhi to a bar. Pugazhendhi escapes. The next day, Pugazhendhi uploads a video confession blaming Azhagar. Then he is found dead. Raghav does not believe Azhagar is the real culprit. He visits Vinayak. He realizes Vinayak is the mastermind behind everything. Vinayak wanted to destroy Azhagar's company. He used Pugazhendhi to commit crimes in GoCabs taxis. He also ordered the murders of Bairavi, Chandramouli, and the others. Raghav fights Vinayak and burns him to death. News channels report that Vinayak has escaped. No one knows his whereabouts. In the final scene, Raghav sits in his father's restored car and smiles happily.
