
Malayan(2009)
Malayan is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by M. P. Gopi. The film stars Karan in the title role, alongside Shammu and Udhayathara in lead roles. Ganja Karuppu, Sarath Babu, and Rajan P. Dev appear in supporting parts. The story follows a loyal fireworks factory worker who fights against a rival businessman and his violent son after they cause a devastating explosion at his workplace. The film is set in a rural Tamil village and explores themes of loyalty, class conflict, and love. It received three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, including Best Actor for Karan. The music was composed by Dhina, with background score by S. P. Venkatesh. The film was released on 24 July 2009.

Storyline
Malayan works at a fireworks factory and is fiercely loyal to his boss. When a rival businessman and his son cause a deadly explosion at the factory, Malayan must fight back.
