Eeram is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language horror thriller film written and directed by Arivazhagan Venkatachalam in his directorial debut. The film stars Aadhi, Nandaa, and Sindhu Menon in lead roles, with Saranya Mohan, Srinath, Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, and Krishna in supporting roles. The story follows ACP Vasudevan, who investigates the death of his ex-girlfriend Ramya, only to discover her spirit is seeking revenge against those who wronged her. Set in Chennai, the film uses water as a central motif for supernatural communication. Produced by S. Shankar, the film features a musical score by debutant S. Thaman and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa. Eeram received critical acclaim for its narrative, direction, and performances, and was a commercial sleeper hit. Storyline
ACP Vasudevan investigates the apparent suicide of his ex-girlfriend Ramya. He refuses to believe she killed herself. As he digs deeper, people connected to her start dying in strange accidents involving water. Vasu realizes Ramya's ghost is taking revenge on everyone who wronged her. He must uncover the truth before her spirit claims more lives.
