Nepali(2008)
Nepali is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language neo-noir action thriller film written and directed by V. Z. Durai. The film stars Bharath and Meera Jasmine in lead roles, with Govind Namdev, Prem, and Sangeetha in supporting parts. It marks Govind Namdev's Tamil debut. The story follows three parallel narratives: a software engineer in love, a depressed convict in jail, and a vigilante killing men who harass women. These threads converge into a single tragic identity. The film is noted for its non-linear storytelling, violent action sequences, and a supernatural climax. It received mixed reviews, with praise for its ambition but criticism for its confusing structure and excessive violence. The soundtrack was composed by Srikanth Deva. Nepali was released on 10 April 2008.
